Why is the comments section on metsblog.com closed?

Has Matthew Cerrone grown tired of all the complaints about the format of his blogs comment section? Is he showing us who’s the boss? Usually when Matt shuts down the comments section for repair, he lets us know. What do you think?

i think matt IS sending a message. i hope not, but i can’t help but think he is and if so, it’s rude and inconsiderate.

      He’s being very childish.

it’s hard to understand how he could operate a site that developed a huge following and seemingly not get his readers.

matt’s posts are good and his information has gotten more and more “insider” and all, but the #1 reason i go to the site it to have discourse with my fellow met fans (like you casestreet).

if he really is doing this for some sort of power play or experiment, i’ll be very disappointed.

i actually just go to his site to see if he’s fixed the comments section (or at least explained what has been going on) and leave.

i won’t post until the the old format is back.
